Building Community through Soccer

The Longwood Soccer Club is part of the Longwood Youth Sports Association (LYSA), a non-profit organization. We are committed to providing a superior inclusive soccer experience for all of our area’s youth by offering both an educational/recreational soccer program(s) and a highly competitive travel team program. This commitment is accomplished through an organization of volunteers and soccer professionals, who administer these programs. We are a community and family-oriented soccer club that provides an opportunity to play organized soccer at the recreational, developmental and competitive levels for players at ages 3 – 19 years old. We offer challenging programs that place the focus on the development of the whole player within a team environment. Longwood Soccer is committed to providing the best tactical and overall athletic development for each individual player while offering players, their families and coaches an enjoyable soccer experience. We are dedicated to helping players reach their full potential while fostering a love of the game. It is our intent as an organization to promote and honor integrity, teamwork, perseverance, confidence and sportsmanship both on and off the field. We wish to provide well-organized soccer appropriately structured to accommodate any level of play commensurate with our players individual ability, potential, and interest and promote a positive youth sports culture that teaches life lessons and “Honors the Game” for all players.

Intramural Program

Our Intramural program begins as early as age 3 and runs through ages 7/8. Divisions start at "Pee Wee through D division" with games played on Sundays at the Longwood Middle School.

Boys and girls are mixed on each team in a co-ed educational & fun non-competitive format.

Travel League Program

Players looking to play in High School and wish to compete at the College level start here in the Travel program at ages 7/8.

The Travel League soccer program represents LYSA's highest level of competition. Both players and coaches demonstrate a very high level of commitment and most teams play year round. LYSA travel competes in the Long Island Junior Soccer league, which is currently one of the most competitive leagues in the country. The travel program is designed for players U9 and above who excel in the game and want to participate in more challenging games than an intramural program offers.

Our Interleague program is a non-competitive league for those who wish to continue in our Intramural level of play. Interleague players participate in the Suffolk Soccer Interleague with no recorded standings or scores.
